The children will learn that God will be with them just as He was with Moses. That he is faithful and everlasting.

Upstream Kids is an engaging, hands-on children’s ministry for kids age 3 through sixth grade. Children participate in a variety of activities and programs throughout the year and take part in many ministry opportunities.

Sunday Morning Worship: A program is offered Sunday mornings during the worship service.  The children receive Biblical instruction at their level in a fun and safe environment. Each week’s lesson focuses on a Biblical truth that is then reinforced through a variety of hands-on activities including games, songs, craft projects, snacks and skits. Some specific past studies have included Fruits of the Spirit, memorizing the books of the Bible, and dissecting each of the Ten Commandments. Come swim upstream with us – you’ll be glad you did!

Vacation Bible School: Each summer, for several days, a Vacation Bible School is held. During this high-energy, immersive program children take part in a time of themed learning designed to understand Biblical truths and the depth of God’s love. This summertime program brings young and old alike together to praise the Lord and have fun through songs, games, crafts, snacks, and stories.

Participating in Services: Children are a vital and thriving part of Oasis Community Church. They participate and perform in special ways throughout the year, especially during Palm Sunday, at the conclusion of Vacation Bible School, and Christmastime. Their performances are a highlight for the congregation.

Reaching Others for Jesus Around the World: Upstream Kids reach out and minister to children outside of Oasis and Tipton to spread the love and message of Jesus. Children work together to fill several shoeboxes to give to Operation Christmas Child – a global outreach ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. In the giving of gifts, they participate in a tangible expression of the gift of salvation through the birth of Jesus. During Vacation Bible School, children contribute to a special offering. They decide as a group which organization or group should receive the funds to continue good work being done.  Past recipients have been Last Bell in Ukraine, our mission in Rwanda through Cross Style Ministries, and the church building fund.
